VAACC Thanks You For "HIGH 5 GIVE $5" Support!

Dear Friends of VAACC,

Thanks so much for your donation to VAACC. Through your generosity, our organization addressed a critical need in the African American senior communities in Virginia Beach on Giving Tuesday Now, which was May 5th. Our theme was HIGH 5 GIVE $5.

​We were able to donate 700 masks to 4 facilities: Heritage Hall Nursing Home, Tranquility at the Lakes, seniors assisted apartments; the Virginia Subsidized Apartments Crescent Square for the Homeless and Kempsville Health and Rehabilitation Center, including their healthcare workers. We ordered 300 more which will be given out this weekend.

After all, we are in this together and believe in reaching out to our community who have been disproportionately impacted.

Attached are some photos from Tuesday's deliveries. Cheryl Davidson, Secretary of the Board,(on the right) my son Anwar and I compiled and distributed the gift bags with masks to the various Community Administrators.
